Thank you for visiting – this website is still under contruction. Here are some preliminary bits about me:
I work as a freelance curator based in Cologne and a research associate at the Institute for Art and Material Culture at the Technical University of Dortmund. With a penchant for (hydro)feminist science fiction and posthuman philosophy, I am interested in curatorial and artistic practices that address the ecological and social consequences of coloniality/modernity and develope methodologies to „hospice“ these systems (see Vanessa Machado de Oliveira).
My PhD research focuses on (post-)industrial water bodies in landscapes of extraction and the development of curatorial research methods for a paradigm shift in the relationship to water. Together with Nina Paszkowski, I initiated the exhibition and research project FLUID CIRCULATION – Hydrofeminist Explorations of Post-Industrial Landscapes (2022–2023). Alongside the dance collective .DENCUENTRO, I launched HydroLOVEgy, a project that develops performative events for an embodied approach to water. Workshops and walks have taken place at the Max-Ernst-Museum Brühl, HMKV Dortmund, Cheers for Fears, University of Paderborn and Cologne, among others.
Previously, I was a curator at the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur Münster/LWL-Industriemuseen, a curatorial assistant at the Akademie der Künste der Welt, and worked as a freelancer with institutions such as the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum for the exhibition RESIST!, PACT Zollverein for the festival BLUES SKIES, Internationale Photoszene for Vibrant Waters or Sides of... Practice hosted by E-WERK Luckenwalde (together with Helen Turner and Lucia Pietroiusti). Since 2020, I regularly collaborate with the CCA Temporary Gallery, where I developed the programmes Towards Permacultural Institutions. Exercises in Collective Thinking (2022, with Julia Haarmann and Aneta Rostkowska), Curating Transformation: Allyship – Degrowth – Grounding (2023, with Aneta Rostkowska), and Instituting in Circles: Ecological Approaches in Art and Art Institutions (2022), as well as the exhibition Anne de Boer & Eloïse Bonneviot: All of the Critters (2024) that took place in a community garden.
In Leipzig and Mendoza/ Argentina I studied Cultural Studies and Politics as well as Staging the Arts and Media in Hildesheim and Cultures of the Curatorial at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig.
Some of my publications include "Towards Permacultural Institutions: Exercises in Collective Thinking", edited by Julia Haarmann and Nada Rosa Schroer, Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen, 2023; and "Curatorial Learning Spaces. Art, Education and Curatorial Practice“, edited by Annemarie Hahn, Eva Hegge, Torsten Meyer and Nada Rosa Schroer, kopaed, 2023. Other texts have appeared in Nocturne, Monopol Magazine, Missy Magazine and Philosophie Magazin.
